Merit scholarships for international vocational training students

  • A scholarship to cover living expenses for the duration of the vocational training
  • Exemption from tuition fees for international students
  • Medical coverage by the Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ) for the duration of your studies

The annual budget for merit scholarship award is $2 380 000 (making about 95 awards annually), subject to the budgetary allocation of the ministère de l’Éducation du Québec (MEQ).


Tuition Exemption

A maximum number of exemptions may be distributed per year. Twenty (20) perpetual exemptions are available. Recipients of a tuition waiver do not receive a scholarship and are not covered by health insurance.

Student immigration proceduresBetween January and August 2026The winning students complete the immigration procedures and prepare for their arrival.
Arrival of students and start of classes From August 2026Students arrive in Quebec and begin their professional training.
Éducation internationale encourages and promotes students who apply independently. Otherwise, applications may be rejected.
